A Work in Progress

Due to the wholesale whining, (oops, sorry, requests) I am posting pictures of my new little kitchen, a work in progress. I wanted to wait until Chris had made me the counter top and the sides, stove and sink, but..... here it is as of today. (the plastic tub on the top of the unit is one of the 'sinks')

Please notice the REAL door hinges and drawer slides. This is a real, 1/3 scale kitchen cabinets. Chris's shop class is doing a class on cabinets and Chris arranged for me to get this section of the finished project! (the bottles are not alcoholic in nature, they are syrup bottles from the Cracker Barrel)

I love it!

I have ALWAYS, since I can remember, wanted a little play kitchen and now I have one! We are putting a 'stove' top at one end and a 'sink' at the other end. Today I went on line and ordered 'food' for my kitchen. Saturday we are going up to the IKEA store to buy dishes and pots and pans ( place mats and pot holders are in the works). I am so anxious to play in my kitchen with my grandkids/kids. Anybody want to come and play with me?

Oh man it is times like this when you pull out the big guns, that I am asking myself why we moved so far away. I think that is so cute, and I have to say that if I were there then I would be playing with it, with or without Gwen. I too always wanted a full play kitchen, but I only had parts. Maybe someday we will get to see it in person.

I hope that you have fun picking out all the accessories for it, well I know that you will, I just wish that we were there to help.

I wanna play too, can I? It looks great, I can't wait to see it when it is all finished.

Fantastic job Chris! I am glad you are showcasing some of the latest masterpieces. How fun to pick out dishes and food; Santa had a blast doing that for the girls' kitchen. It might be a good thing we are far away, our little mother hens would want to make a permanent residence!! :) But we are not so overwhelming in small doses and can't wait to visit and try it out.

I want to go on record saying that it is unfair to put pictures of it online before it is finished. So those of you who preassered mother for pictures, Shame on you.
