Brent got the walls painted and he and Chris put up the 'boxes', the cabinet skeletons.

First you put down the toe kicks...the pipe sticking up against the wall is the gas line for the stove

sink plumbing...they had to move the water lines from the bottom to coming into the back

putting in the microwave which is also our exhast fan

the view from this morning. The corner isn't painted because my display/dish cabinets will be there. They are still making that one.

I can see the finish line! Brent and Chris are making the drawers and cabinet fronts and finishing the wood for them. Then they will put on the hinges and door handles, install them, then put down the counter top which will take an entire day to install and polish. Chris leaves Sunday for Mexico so things are getting a little frenzied. Brent will put in the new floor and finish the light fixture covers, plus all the little detail finishing stuff next week when Chris is gone. I have been asked if we have been eating out every night and they answer is no we have not. I have a crock pot and rice cooker and I know how to use them! We are using all paper products and the hardest thing is to take the dishes outside to wash them (there is always something left to wash) from the house water faucet underneath the swamp cooler. I miss my sink! I went out and brought some chicken back on Saturday because my plan for us to eat at the ward party didn't work out. Chris and Brent didn't want to stop and go eat. But things are really moving along and we are hoping everything will be finished in time for Lonna and the kids visit a week from Sunday!

Wow, that looks so good! I'm exicited for you. I love that shade of blue, it's going to be great. The fact that you can see the finish line or even know where it is, is one up from any of the projects in my house. I look forward to seeing it in person.

I like that blue a lot! I thought the cabinets were going to be a wood color? Are the fronts still going to be, or is it saying white? I really can't wait to see it!
