I loved watching the ocean at Monterey Bay...that is the only thing I miss from Calif.

I bought this watercolor of one of their special displays. These are in the Sea Horse family, but are called Sea Dragons. There are two of them in this picture and they look exactly like this......beautiful! They grow things on them that look like kelp to disguise themselves. They are only about the size the length of your hand, about 8 inches.

Brent is teaching Allie to read. Do you remember when your Dad taught you to read?

Allie could read this first little book all by herself when they were finished. She is ready for Kindergarten!

At the aquarium they had an entire wall of glass. They had tuna, schools of sardines, sharks, etc all swimming together. It was fascinating to watch them.

Liesel and Allie enjoying the jelly fish display. We loved watching the jelly fish drift up and down.

Here we are outside. Yes, I wore my weird hat. These are the last pictures of our stay with Jen and family and our field trip to the Monterey bay aquarium. Stay tuned for our Orange Country adventure posted soon.

Cool pictures! Those jelly fish are huge!!! And seeing the school of fish is really fun. I am so glad you got to go see it.
I love the Aquarium. How great that you were able to spend some great time with your kids in Cali. Looks like you were pretty exhausted there at the end but you can see in your face the pure joy and contentment.
Loved all your pictures of your California vacation. It looks so fun and so great to be with your family.
