Well here it is...the official engagement story and official engagement ring. Ryan woke Becky up at 6:00 am with a dozen roses. He took her up to the mountains and they watched the sun rise. He had a picnic breakfast prepared for her and gave her the ring. It is 1/2 a carat diamond and looks lovely on her hand. You got a lot of brownie points for that one, Ryan!

Ahhhh. I have been waiting for this picture for a few days now. I think that is great. I do have to say kudos to Ryan for the extra effort that he put into the actual presentation. I think that is just what every girl wants. A little creativity and romance with a diamond as well...Who could ask for more?
You know I was thinking about the title of your post...and don't you think that it was pretty official as soon as you were doing all of the wedding plans...or was that just a head start to when she got the ring and then the engagement was on? Because I think that having most of the wedding already planned and arrangements made makes it pretty official to me. I think that in this case the ring was just an added perk by the time it came into the picture. I am not saying that is a bad thing mind you.
Lonna you are right on that one...everything was already almost done by the time the ring made an appearance. The moment Alan Honey's plane ticket was bought I thought to myself, "there is no turning back now!" That was the moment that did it for me, though Becky your ring is perfect! It was so fun to help you try on wedding dresses. I hope I can do it again soon (that is not a hint to my daughters, it is a hint to my sister). Congratulations!!
congratulations Becky. I'm so happy for you.

LOVE the ring! Mine's an oval-cut, so I have always also been partial to the marquise which is similar. I love how it crosses on the sides. Good job Ryan! I also got the invite today and I love it too. We won't be able to be there, but I'm sure it will be fantastic.
