Memories of Montezuma Creek Utah

We decided to go home from Texas by way of Montezuma Creek, where we lived for 8 years and all of our children were born. This is a view of Sleeping Ute Mountin on the road to Cortez and Durango, Colorado.

this is the turn off for Montezuma Creek, we go left
the gas station on the corner of the turn. When we had the wild ride when in labor with Ryan this is where we stopped so Brent could throw up. I am amazed it is still standing.

This is all that is left of the old Elementary school. Just the cement slab. Brent is standing where his classroom once was. The new elementary school is in the back ground
This is the playground where our travel trailer stood when we were expecting James. You can see how close it was to the elementary school by the cement slab.

Where are the people?

Hey, this is Garrett. I really have to say that it looks like a ball growing up in a place like that. All the wide open spaces to wander around. Jen thinks I'm nuts but it really looks like an okay place. There is a river that looks fun. I'd like to retire on 1000 acres in a place like that with razor wire all the way around and warning signs about being shot for trespassing. I think I would keep zebra as well.
