To back up your blog spots to your hard drive (and later burn to a disk, I hope) here are instructions: (these instructions work for any web page, Brent tells me) This only works for the browser Mozilla Firefox
(one time only - install Scrapbook addon https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/427
then ever after:
1. Go to the blog you want to save
2. Choose the month you want to save
3. Choose Scrapbook menu which should now be on your Firefox menu bar and 'capture page'
4. Choose Scrapbook menu again and highlight 'scrapbook'
5. Choose Tools on Scrapbook sidebar and highlight 'import/export'
6. You now have a new window and you can set the destination for where you want the back up blogs to go
7.Highlight blog month on the left you want to export and then click 'export'
you are finished. I have a folder named "blog backups' on my desktop for my blogs to go into, you can have yours go where ever you want.

fantastic!! I am so glad that you put up this post. I was thinking that I was not quite sure how to tell James about it and have him understand me, I know you are thinking that would be silly James not understanding computer talk, but it is true when coming from me, it is like a foreign language sometimes. I am excited to get started. Thanks again.
I think that blogging could be an excellent alternative to scrapbooking....it seems I have the time, energy and resources for it, and already have a year's worth! Scrapbooking, I got nothing. Thanks for helping us (in English!) to better document our family history.
