Saratoga Springs, New York

I told Brent I wanted to do something different for my traumatic birthday coming up so I decided to go visit Tricia and Alan in Saratoga Springs, New York. It was started as a summer resort town for all the wealthy people that lived in New York City. It is a classy, flowers-everywhere city! Tricia and Alan's apartment is just a few blocks from a gorgeous park and the main street. We were able to walk to the park, restaurants, the race course and Main street.
At Hattie's award winning chicken resturant. Terrels' chicken is better
 In the glorious park
So many ducks in the park. There were so fun to watch
Tricia standing in front of their apartment building. It used to be a dorm for Skidmore college. Theirs is the lower corner apartment/6 windows facing me.
at the race track watching the horses warm up
and eating breakfast...we also had two, fun tours of the race track and the stables
up in the stands....the races ran every half hour and the horses that were races would come out and walk in front of the wealthy section of the stands.
Alan brought his binoculars. It was so much fun! I understood more than I thought about horse racing because of my extensive murder mystery reading, especially Dick Francis's books. He is a jockey turned author. Tricia and Alan were so gracious, welcoming and generous to me! Thank you so much!

That sounds like a blast and I loved seeing the pictures! Did you win any money at the horse race? Just joking. xo ~Nancy
